Traditional Literature & Oral Narration
Nyla Fujii-Babb

Course Description:

Analysis of traditional literature including Asian and Pacific Island resources. Selection and evaluation of traditional literature materials emphasizing cultural values. Introduction to oral tradition, history and techniques of storytelling.

I opted to focus my research on Micronesian and Marshallese folklore.  This led me to discover the works of Daniel A Kelin II.  I continued to work with his folklore collections in my Collection Management class.
