Design and Assessment of Informal LIS Learning Spaces
Dr. Rich Gazan

Course Description:

This course was a guided reading session, and independent study project related to the redesign of the LIS Commons area.

After the results of a stakeholder survey were read and analyzed, I did research and drafted a plan to reconfigure the student area(s) into a warm and inviting space that gave a sense of the region in which it resides, specifically Hawaiʻi.  I worked closely with the LIS program Chair, Dr. Rich Gazan, and the LIS Program Coordinator, Christian DeLay, to implement the redesign.

This "course" spanned the Summer of 2015 and "debuted" at the inaugural event of the 50th anniversary celebrations for the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa's LIS Program.
